Entrepreneurship, FOR ALL PEOPLE?

Entrepreneurship has become not easy.
But that be not as many people,
because every person in the study entrepreneurship.

According to Poppy King, a young entrepreneur from Australia to the field of business since the age of 18 years, there are three things that always faced an entrepreneur in any field, namely: first, obstacle (obstacle); second, hardship (trouble); third, very rewarding life (or reward for the results of the life). And I agree entirely with that statement. Therefore I think that entrepreneurship is in a certain limit for all people. Why?

I think a lot of reasons to say it. First, each person has a goal, dream, or at least hope to improve the quality of his life as a man. This is the kind of "sixth sense" that encourages people to work normally and tried. "Intuition" is associated with one of the potential of humanity, namely power creative imagination.

Because humans are the only creature that God's creation, among others, has a creative imagination power, he can use them to think. The mind can be directed to the past, the present and the future. With thinking, he can find the answers to important questions like: Where did I come from? Where I am at this time? And Where will I go? And whether I will inherit the world?

Browsing personal history in the past can provide the strength and weakness of a person. There are a number of experiences of life: obstacles and difficulties that we face and how we address them, failure and success, fun and keperihan, and others. However, because everything is passed, then not much more that can be done to change all that. We have to accept it and give it the meaning of the right and put it in a perspective of the present and the future (Harefa: Success Without a Degree, Gramedia Pustaka Utama, 1998, page.3-7).

Narrative of the present real situation where we are, what we have, not what we have, what we enjoy, and what we can not enjoy, what the duties and responsibilities and what we become our human rights as a human , and others. With the presence we realize at this time, we can be grateful or complain, we can berpuas themselves determine the target or the next, and so on.

The future to provide hope, at least so should those who believe berkepercayaan. When we have a past that is not fun, and still are on the situation and conditions that have not been in accordance with the ideals of our dream, or, it is reasonable if we expect a better future, brighter, more fun. For as long as there is still tomorrow, all possibilities are still wide open (irrespective of pessimism or optimism about it).

It is clear that the past, the present and the future directly with the relative power our imagination. And in the times that all obstacles (obstacle), difficulty (hardship), and the joy or happiness (very rewarding life) mixed with a mixed one. So, if Poppy King said that the third thing that is faced by an entrepreneur in any field, it is not that means that entrepreneurship is for all people? What people on earth who did not face obstacles and difficulties to achieve the ideals and dreams?

The second is that entrepreneurship is basically for all people is because it can be learned. Peter F. Drucker, for example, never write in Innovation and Entrepreneurship that, "Every person who has the courage to make decisions, can learn to be entrepreneurial, and behave like entrepreneurship. For (or so) is a more entrepreneurial behavior of the symptoms of the personality, the essence lies in the concept and theory, not on intuition. " And behavior, concepts, and theories are things that can also be learned by anyone. Throughout we are willing to open the heart and mind to learn, the opportunity to become entrepreneurial remain open. Throughout the study we realize that the substance is an ongoing process, which does not always mean that begins and ends at a certain school or university, but it can be done for life, anywhere, anytime (I call this the Great School of Life), the study can be done berwirausaha by anyone, although no means must be entrepreneurial "big."

The third reason is due to the fact history shows us that the most successful entrepreneur who is essentially even ordinary people. Sabeer Bathia, a digital entrepreneur who launched hotmail.com on 4 July 1996, the new case after he act to people like Steve Jobs, inventor personal computer (Apple). And awareness that makes it quite confident when the set price penemuannya worth 400 million U.S. dollars to Bill Gates, owner of Microsoft, who is also a normal human being.

Fourth reason that I want to mention here is because after learning tips-trick dozens of successful entrepreneurial small, medium and large, in the context of local-national-regional and international-global-world, then I reach the conclusion that the secret of success, they trick is very simple . In the book from Berwirausaha Zero say that I have them:
... .. driven by the ideas and dreams,
... .. rely more on creativity,
... .. show courage,
... .. believe in hockey, but more believe in the real business,
... .. see problems as opportunities,
... .. choose appropriate business interests and hobbies,
... .. start with a capital pickup,
... .. happy to try new things,
... .. always arise from a failure, and
... .. do not rely on academic degrees.
Ten tips success is simple in principle, does not require those extraordinary. People with high IQ, medium, low until you can (learn) to do so.

Fifth reason is because the entrepreneurial drive people to the leadership. And leadership is to all people (Harefa: act on Sun, Gramedia Pustaka Utama, 1998; also Harefa: Being Human learners, Kompas, 2000).

With five simple reasons above, I want to emphasize that entrepreneurship is for all people. I do not believe in the theory or the concept that the Chinese people that bleed can be successful berwirausaha (this view believed some people in Indonesia). For so how do we explain the success of the people of Aceh, Batak, Minang Kabau, Lampung, Sumatra, Lombok, and the other indigenous berwirausaha also successful? I also do not support the theory of Max Weber that the Protestant place as ingenious entrepreneur without equal (although the context for the United States and Europe may be true). For how he explains the success of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship in Asia and the Middle East is not a Protestant? The success of Taiwan and Singapore by Lee Teng-hui and the Lee Kuan Yew stated as "impact" Confucianism ethics?

But I agree when Anugerah Pekerti, former Director PPM Institute of Management, defines entrepreneurship as a response to business opportunities that revealed in a set of measures and work out a business organization that melembaga, productive and innovative. I also concur with Howard H. Stevenson, former President of Harvard Business School who understand entrepreneurship as a pattern of behavior management in an integrated effort the opportunities that are available without ignoring the resources it has. I support the opinion that the opportunity Drucker is the exact definition for entrepreneurship and that an entrepreneur must allocate resources from the areas that deliver low or declining to areas that deliver high or increasing.

Richard Cantillon, the first person to use the term entrepreneur in the early 18-century, said that the entrepreneur is someone who bear the risk. He was correct. Joseph Schumpeter is also true when it is said that the entrepreneurial innovators production. And said that entrepreneurship is an impersonator, as the William H. Sahlman, also harmless. But I personally prefer the view Jose Carlos Jarillo-Mossi that the entrepreneur is someone who felt the opportunity, pursue opportunities in accordance with the situation themselves, and believe that success is a matter that can be achieved.

Entrepreneurship is for all people. All the potential to become entrepreneurial. But whether he is successful entrepreneur, half-successful, or fail, that is another. Just like the people who can potentially become the president does not become president of all real, while the chance meeting does not become president (as Gus Dur beloved, for example) would become a successful president. This means, among other things, there is no concept or theory that is absolute, but also about entrepreneurship. There is also the theory that any posts submitted via this short.
